Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle

More than half of the Pennsylvania Lottery's Millionaire Raffle tickets have been sold for the Dec. 30 drawing. Only 316,301 tickets remained as of 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4. Sales of Millionaire Raffle tickets began on Nov. 21, and are to continue until 5 p.m. Dec. 30, or until all 625,000 tickets are sold. "Players continue to respond positively to this game, and tickets for the Dec. 30 drawing make great holiday gifts," said acting Lottery Executive Director Ed Trees. "More than half of the tickets available for this game have sold in less than two weeks, and with four weeks until the drawing, we expect the remaining tickets will sell quickly."

Millionaire Raffle features 760 cash prizes totaling $6.25 million. The game will award five $1 million top prizes, five $100,000 second prizes and 750 third prizes of $1,000. The Raffle drawing will be held during the Lottery's live, 7 p.m. drawing show on Dec. 30, and the selection of the five $1 million top-prize raffle ticket numbers and the five $100,00

Keno

Definition:
A lotto game in which a set of numbers (typically 20) is selected from a large field of numbers (typically 80). Players select a smaller set of numbers (up to 10) and are awarded prizes based on how many of their numbers match those in the drawn set. Players have discretion over how many numbers to select, and can choose to play for a small prize with good odds (by selecting a small set of numbers such as three), a large prize with much greater odds (by selecting a large set of numbers such as 10) or combinations in between. In casinos, and with several lotteries, keno is played at frequent intervals, with drawings as close together as every five minutes. With other lotteries, keno is played as a daily or weekly game. Among the government lotteries offering keno are Massachusetts and Michigan.
